Donald E. Potts, CPA, CGMA Principal
Donald Potts was certified as a CPA in May 1997 and he received his B.B.A. in Accounting from Georgia State University in June 1988. Don is a member in good standing of the Georgia Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has over thirty years of experience in tax, accounting, payroll, internal controls, financial analysis, international finance, budgeting and planning. Don held several middle management positions in the private sector prior to starting his own tax and accounting practice in 1996.
Don handles all of his clients' affairs in the strictest confidence and under the highest standards of accounting professionalism. When it is appropriate, Don prefers a team approach and works closely with his clients' existing legal and financial advisors to leverage their collective experience and expertise to provide the most beneficial results for his client. Don attends several seminars and professional meetings every year to stay on top of a tax code that is in constant flux and becoming more complex by the day.
Don is happily married to his wife Julie and they have two wonderful children and several delightful grandchildren.
Elizabeth Sabel
EA, Bookkeeper
Elizabeth (Lizzie) Sabel joined DEPco in 2017 after moving to Georgia from Pennsylvania. She has an Associates degree in Accounting and received her Bachelors degree in Sociology from the University of Tennesee, Knoxville. Elizabeth is happily married to her college sweetheart and enjoys reading biographies and hiking with their dogs.
Richard Koepp
EA
Richard has been with DEPco since 2023. Before DEPco, he worked as a Sommelier and Restaurant Manager until the Covid Pandemic. After being furloughed because of the pandemic, he returned to Georgia State University and achieved a Master's degree in Professional Accountancy. He received his Enrolled Agent designation in 2025 and continues to work towards the CPA Certification. He enjoys spending time with Katherine, his fiancée, and his son, Benjamin, who is currently in Nursing School.
Amy Wettrau
Administrative Assistant
Amy is Don's daughter and has been working formally for DEPco since 2023. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Family Sciences/Psychology from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. She is happily married to Kevin and they have two boys together. Amy previously worked with older adults in the retirement industry before taking a break to raise a family. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, reading, and traveling.
